2006 FIFA World Cup™The 2006 World Cup will be the biggest sporting event of the year. Thirty-two teams from around the globe will compete for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ final.
Six continents are represented and six past winners will take part, including the host Germany and current champion Brazil.
To prepare for this event, 12 stadiums were either built or vastly renovated. After having watered the 2004 European Football Cup Games in Portugal, Rain Bird once again made a name for itself among irrigation professionals and was heavily involved in stadium irrigation projects. 7 out of 12 stadiums are equipped with Rain Bird irrigation solutions, including one of the best known stadiums, the Berlin Olympic Stadium, which will host the 2006 FIFA World Cup Final on July 9, 2006. A global audience of over a billion is expected to view the final game live on TV. Rain Bird is very proud to contribute to this sporting event.
