Established in 2004 as an open forum for experts to gather and further define the relationship between water conservation and landscape water use, Rain Bird's sixth Intelligent Use of Water Summit will build upon the success of the previous five events by providing unique insight and perspective into the current issues and strategies for preserving Earth’s most precious resource.
Previous Rain Bird Summits have been held in Pasadena, California, USA (3); Tucson, Arizona, USA (1); and in Aix-en-Provence, France (1), where a panel of sustainable development decision-makers and industry experts addressed the outdoor water conservation issues pertaining to Europe.
In addition to organizing the Intelligent Use of Water Summits, Rain Bird devotes significant resources to its Intelligent Use of Water public awareness initiatives aimed at educating both people in the green industry and the general public on the need to conserve water. These initiatives include a series of white papers; public service announcements; membership on the US Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense steering committee; partnerships with non-profit organizations; development and support of education curriculums; and participation in the Tournament of Roses Parade®, an annual worldwide stage to communicate the need for water conservation.
